Faculty Mentor

Having faculty mentor will aid in my success here at Iowa State because of many reasons. If you really think about it having a mentor that is a faculty member is a very smart plan of action. There are many experience in a field of study that you might be interested in and by talking to someone who has been through that kind of experience would be very smart. They can help to give you some insight into it that you may not have thought about before. They can also help you find the best way to get the opportunity to have the experiences that you are interested in.
For me I don’t really know what area that I want to pursue and so that makes it hard to know who would be the “best” faculty mentor. So I suppose it would be a good thing for me to figure out a plan of action for what I want to do with my life. Sadly that is something that is much easier said than done.
Even though I don’t really have a faculty mentor right now I know how much it was helpful in high school so I do know how important they can be.
